The Phoenix Lights refer to a widespread UFO sighting on March 13, 1997, over Arizona, Nevada, and Sonora, Mexico, where thousands reported witnessing a massive V-shaped or boomerang-shaped object silently traversing the sky. While the U.S. Air Force explained a later cluster of stationary lights as flares, this does not account for the earlier, independently reported V-shaped craft, observed by numerous individuals, including then-Governor Fife Symington. This incident remains one of the most significant and well-documented mass sightings of unidentified aerial phenomena.
